Single Spotlight: Bubba Westly – Roses

bwOur spotlight shines on Bubba Westly this week!  “Roses” is quickly moving its way up the charts and comes in at #81 on the year’s final Texas Regional Radio Report.  Written by Paul Perez and Josh Lay, the track was cut at 512 Studios in Austin, Tx.  Westly told us “the song is just about knowing you messed up and doing everything possible to make it right.  The coolest thing about this song is that it tells a story; a real story that everyone has experienced in their lives at one point. Whatever happened to songs that tell real stories? That’s all this is.”

This song stood out due to the well conveyed emotions and the Westly’s strong delivery.  The listener can feel the intimacy in the vocals and the realistic concept makes the tune relatable.   We’ve all gotten in fights with our significant others and when we realize we’re about to lose them, we do anything to try to keep them.  This is the bwtype of song you close your eyes to when you sing along!

Westly isn’t stopping with just a radio single either.  “We just released a new music video for this song. So be sure y’all check it out! It was shot in College Station, Tx and in Lee County, Tx. It features a good buddy of mine Jack Nelson and Katelynn King as actors. It was such a blast working with them, they’re just good kind people. The actual video shooting and editing was done by my other great buddy Pat Ryan”, said Westly.

This is Bubba Westly’s debut single and the title track from his album “Roses”.  This is our favorite song on the album and expect it to at least break the Top 50 in coming weeks!  Check out the single below, and help us push it up the charts by requesting it on your online and local radio stations!
