Single Spotlight: Erick Willis – What Did You Expect

ew3Erick Willis is back in our spotlight this week with his newest single!   “What Did You Expect” jumped from #75 to #66 on the Texas Regional Radio Report and added +57 spins!  Produced by Willis and Patrick Herzfeld, the track was recorded at Signal Hill Studios, in Austin, TX.  “One of the best things about being a songwriter is being able to draw off of other people’s experiences as well as your own. This song took light after witnessing a friend’s unfortunate relationship”, Willis told us.

It’s not hard to see (or hear) how talented this guy is.  He’s a fantastic songwriter and has one hell of a voice! “What Did You Expect” is one of the most energetic tracks on the recently released album, “Please” and one of our favorites!  You can’t help but play some gritty air guitar and sing along as Willis belts out the lyrics.  If you’re looking for smooth vocals with some rocking music, then look no further.

This single, follows up the previous title track release, “Please”, which made its way up to #81 on the Texas Regional Radio Report.  We expect this one to make Willis’s debut on the Texas Music Chart’s Top 50 and we’d like to see it continue to climb from there.  Help us get it there by requesting it on your online and local radio stations!
