Single Spotlight: Jake Pyeatt – Stay

Our spotlight shines on Jake Pyeatt’s brand new single, “Stay” this week!  Recorded at The Record Chamber in Fort Worth with Jordan O’Leary, Pyeatt laid down all of the vocals, guitar, and bass with Matt Chappel on drums, and Bobby Texas on steel guitar.  The Lake Jackson, TX native penned the tune after he felt the guitar melody shaped the “feel good” mood of the song. “I don’t think this song was inspired by any one event, but more on the idea of someone realizing that they have something worth holding on to. In this case, a stubborn guy that realizes what a good thing he has” Pyeatt told us.

Here at TMP we really dig the track’s polished production, charismatic vibe, and man those are some killer vocals!  The up-tempo rhythm and endearing lyrics make it a fun and easy love song that’s great for dancing or just listening.  With this being the lead single off of his upcoming record, we think it’s off to a great start, and can’t wait to hear the rest of the tunes!

Currently, in the studio wrapping up a few more songs, the band plans to release another single later this year, with a new record to follow!  With all the excitement on the horizon, Pyeatt has been running up and down the highways, spreading the good word. “We have been playing a lot more full-band shows, and I’m really happy with the team that we’ve put together. We have a good positive energy on stage and people seem to really respond well to that” Pyeatt told us.

Stay tuned to the band’s social media for news on the upcoming record, and updated tour schedule.  Also help us push the single up the charts by requesting it on your local and online radio stations!
