Who is Melissa Brooke? A 21-year-old, tall, Texas drink of water. Melisa is an involved young woman who is very passionate about anything she does, and is always ‘on the go’. Growing up just outside Fort Worth in Crowley, Texas, much of her youth was spent on her grandfathers cattle ranch where she learned to ride horses, becoming very good at barrel racing and competing in many local and area events. At 14 the family moved to Port Aransas where she found new interests in surfing while ‘honing’ her singing and songwriting skills at school, church, and local venues. Melissa Brooke has been performing around south Texas opening or acts such as; Josh Abbott, Pear Ratz, Cody Johnson, Turnpike Troubadours, and many more…Melissa kicked off the Buckin’ For Boobs rodeo in Robstown, TX by singing the national anthem, then went to Las Vegas where she performed many locations for the 2012 WNFR. She recently opened for Nashville recording artists Thompson Square, Lauren Alaina, and Lucy Hale. Fans won’t be disappointed by this Texas Country Artist, she aims to please and will do just that! Melissa can be heard on many local radio stations throughout the South Texas Coastal Bend, West Texas, and on into NM and Colorado. Melissa has released 6 singles to Texas radio all placing in the top 50 on the Texas Music Charts. “Sticky Situation” her debut single, made its way to #35 with her current single “Lose Control” making it’s radio debut February 13th. To do big things, you have to make big noise. In Austin, Texas, the up-and-coming country duo Moonlight Social is doing just that. Mixing a penchant for flowing melodies, poignant lyrics and powerful vocals, Jeremy Burchard and Jennica Scott, alongside a talented collection of musicians, combine their talents to offer a sound that is wholly accessible yet undeniably refreshing. Since being founded in early 2011, Moonlight Social has self-produced an EP (May 2011), released to glowing reviews the full-length debut “Heading South” produced by Matt Noveskey (Blue October’s bassist), and been rewarded with numerous, career-changing opportunities. In 2014, they graced the stage of the sold-out Country USA Festival in Wisconsin, represented Texas at Indie Week Canada 2014, placed among the Top 4 (out of 25 finalists) in The Recording Conservatory of Austin’s “Unsigned Artist Competition 2014,” competed as a finalist for Indstruktibl Clothing line’s “IND Phenom Talent Search 2014,” and traveled to Georgia to play Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Social Club.
Fort Worth, Texas native Tommy Dussault picked up a guitar at the age of six and hasn’t put it down since. Ask him what his first childhood memory is and he will tell you his earliest memory is swinging on a swing listening to a Brooks & Dunn cassette singing every word. Deeply rooted in traditional and ’90’s country growing up, his music and songwriting brings that flare with relatable subject matter that draws fans from across the board. Read more…
