Sending Well Wishes and a Speedy Recovery to Wade Bowen!
The Waco-native underwent surgery this week to due issues with his vocal cords. Bowen posted a video to fans on May 30th clearing any rumors and announcing his procedure scheduled for the next day.
An update was posted on Facebook on May 31st stating that the singer/songwriter’s surgery was a success and although Bowen will not be able to speak or sing, fans will still see him this weekend at his annual Bowen MusicFest event benefitting the Bowen Family Foundation. Ray Wylie Hubbard, Margo Price, William Clark Green, Josh Abbott, and Ross Cooper Help Deaf Woman Discover Love for Concerts
Reported by Dallas’ Guide Live, it took almost 50 years for Plano resident, Meryl Evans to realize her love for concerts. Evans, who was born deaf and diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss at 8 months old, just this year began attending live shows. With the help of some of Texas’ favorite artists, Evans has been able to obtain set lists in advance so she may study lyrics before attending the shows. Billy Bob’s’ Texas Selling Pieces of Old Dance Floor
Attention dancehall dreamers! Billy Bob’s Texas is out with the old and in with the new as the “World’ Largest Honky Tonk” it held a ribbon cutting for their newly installed dancefloor this week. The Fort Worth Stockyards venue also announced that pieces of the old dancefloor will be for sale in the venue’s gift shop.
Parker McCollum to Make Outdoor Stage Headliner Debut at John. T. Floore’s Country Store
Parker McCollum will make his Floore’s Outdoor Stage headliner debut on August 4th! Special guests include Read Southall Band. This is a show you do NOT want to miss. It’s been a “Hell of a Year” for the Limestone Kid who also sold-out his Gruene Hall headliner debut.

Sam Riggs Finishes Up Recording for New Album
Sam Riggs teased fans on Instagram that the recording of his new record is, in his words, “…IN THE CANNNN…” and off to get remixed and mastered. Riggs also gave a shout out to Charlie Horse Productions and expressed this has been his “most excellent journey so far…” No word just yet of when Riggs is set to release but fans’ are already excited!

Jason Eady Announces New Album
Jason Eady posted a new video teaser this week and anxiously announced the release date of his new album titled “I Travel On”. Eady said the new record is scheduled for an August 10th release and expressed, “I’m extremely proud of what we did on this one and can’t wait for you all to hear it.”
Charlie Stout Launches Go Fund Me Campaign for “There’s a Song in There Somewhere – EP”
Charlie Stout launched a Go Fund Me campaign earlier this week to promote his newest EP “There’s a Song in There Somewhere” which is an album the singer/songwriter describes as being “full of horrible song ideas”. Stout posted the campaign announcement on Twitter on the morning of May 29th and announced later that evening that the project was 100% funded. Stout released the EP’s first single, “I Locked My Keys In My Car” and the track is skyrocketing on the charts. Check it out below!

Caleb and the Home Grown Tomatoes wins Houston Battle of the Bands
Congrats to Caleb and the Home Grown Tomatoes winning Houston’s Best Battle of the Bands on May 27th! The band from Conroe, Texas competed against 11 other acts at Big Texas Dance Hall and Saloon. The judges’ panel included Texas Country artists including Bri Bagwell, Bleu Edmondson, Jody Booth, and Scott Brown.
Tanner Fenoglio Currently Working on Debut Album
Tanner Fenoglio announced to Twitter this week that he and the band hit the recording studio this week to work on tunes for the band’s first full-length album. Fenoglio says to keep up with the band’s Facebook page for a sneak peek of what’s to come!

Lonestar Legends Music Fest This Weekend!
The Lonestar Legends Music Fest presented by Sirena Fest kicks off June 1st in Salado, Texas! The fun family event will feature headliner Salado’s own Brandon Rhyder. The festival is benefiting an all-abilities playground project for Salado in partnership with Variety’s Peaceable Kingdom for Kids. Rhyder shared with Ann Harder on ABC KXXV how near and dear the organization is to his and his family’s heart, expressing that the organization is a “hidden gem” and something he and his family are “very happy to be associated with”.
