Aaron Watson – Outta Style, July in Cheyenne
We love live albums here at TMP, so when Aaron Watson released “Live At The World’s Biggest Rodeo Show” we were all over it! What’s not to love about one the biggest stars in Texas playing some of his biggest songs in front of the biggest Rodeo?!? Here are a couple of our favorites (Higher Ground and Fence Post were already on the playlist).

William Clark Green – Poor, She Loves Horses, This Is Us, Farewell
William Clark Green gave us another incredible album last month with “Herbert Island”! It’s filled with fantastic songwriting, stories that resonate in your bones, and the desire for more once the track is over. With his earthy vocals, the strong direction in the songs, and lyrics that make you close your eyes and sing along, it makes this one hell of an album! Cory Morrow – Top of My Heart, Your Smile, Always and Forever
Cory Morrow’s brand new album “Whiskey and Pride” is filled with stories of warmth, struggle, love, and transparency. Flatland Cavalry – HoneyWine
We’ve been anxiously awaiting a new Flatland Cavalry tune and it’s finally here!! Cleto and crew get down-right country in this one! We love the foot stomping rhythm, twangy strings, and feel-good lyrics. This is a perfect soundtrack for this time a year, where it’s still warm enough to do summerish things on the weekend, but school, football season, and life is in full swing!

This one is a jam! It’s like a good southern breakfast cooking in hot grease. Between it’s cranked up guitars, twangy vocals, and contagious energy, we can’t enough! This one does exactly what a lead single is supposed to do…get people excited for the album!

Jason Eady – I Travel On, I Lost My Mind in Carolina
Jason Eady released “I Travel On” last month and it’s filled with down home instrumentation, rich characters, and great stories. Eady is a poet and songwriter that takes you through the world from his eyes. Listen and just give in to the ride. The Dirty River Boys – The Backside of Uppers
The Dirty River Boys have always had a special place in our hearts, and so we’re pumped to get a new tune of theirs on to our playlist! The Backside of Uppers is a great mixture of traditional folk, fiddle licks, and journeyman vocals. We can’t wait to hear what they’ve got cooking for the rest of the upcoming album!

John Baumann – Lonely in Bars
With this new radio single, John Baumann yet again delivers another story that you just have to hear. His lyrics are the perfect romance…relatable yet incredibly poetic. Beyond his fantastic songwriting talent, his distinctive vocals make this song one of a kind. I definitely recommend diving into this one (and the rest of Baumann’s work while you’re at it!).

Folk Soul Revival – Buck Up, Losing Kind, That’s Life
I had never heard of these guys and randomly came across their new album thanks to my Spotify Release Radar. They’re out of Virginia, but definitely have a grit and honesty to their sound that fits right in to the playlist! The new album provides some great songwriting that really lets you dive in! Here are a few of our favorites!

Jamie Lin Wilson – Run, Oklahoma Stars
Jamie Lin Wilson outdid herself with these! The thought-provoking lyrics, Wilson’s fantastic vocals and damn good foot-tappin’ beats together compose a solid pair of new single releases! Wilson is a true artist. I can’t wait to hear more from her new album!

Ben Danaher Getting Over Someone, Silver Screen, Hell or High Water
I saw Ben Danaher live earlier this year and have had my eye on his new album ever since. “My Father’s Blood” is a very personal story of an album he delivered to uplift us all. Our picks include the easy listening track “Getting Over Someone”, the romantically sweet love song “Silver Screen” and the jammin’ “Hell or High Water”. I also really dig Danaher’s #StillFeelLucky project and encourage you to check it out!

Kolton Moore – I’ll Still Miss You
Don’t call it a comeback! Kolton More released a new tune after a few years of hiatus. The tune gets a little dark, a little deep, cuts to the core, and we love every bit of it. We’re hoping there’s more new tunes to come!

Nobody Frames Bad Days is a song that just stays with you. It’s relevant. It’s clever. And Zach Coffey’s vocals mixed with excellent instrumentals just sound so good. Definitely a standout! (Wildfire was already on the playlist)

This band’s music is so loveable! Trust me when I say that these feel good lyrics can bring a smile to even the sad song lover’s face. “Betty Lou” is refreshingly sweet while the tune “Day Drinkin’” is perfect for your tailgate playlist.
