Over the years, Chilifest Inc has assembled an untarnished resume of success. Every year a crowd of 35,000 strong descends on Snook, Texas for food, fun and country music. With all proceeds benefiting the community to aid in many worthy causes, Chilifest remains in a class of music festivals of it’s own.
To give you an idea of how spectacular of lineup Chilifest often presents here’s last year’s bill:
This year, the Chilifest committee is looking for an act to kick off Friday night’s lineup, and it could be you! That’s right, “The Chilifest Battle of the Bands” will provide one band the opportunity to join the 2018 lineup and perform in front of thousands!
To enter: submit a YouTube video of a live performance of an original song. Artists may submit a solo acoustic video, a full-band video, or anything in-between. While video quality is not important, we must be able to clearly hear the vocals and music. The contestant must currently reside, originally be from, or play a high percentage of shows in Texas and our contest will be geared towards country, Americana, roots, folk, southern rock, or any other genre you would see on the Texas music charts. Along with the YouTube Video, contestants will be asked to submit their contact information, performance date preferences, a $20 entry fee, and their supplemental information if they have it (please refer to the “Submission Information” section located at the bottom for full entry details).
We will select 25 contestants for the BOB. The submission deadline is 09/03/2017 at Midnight and contestants will be notified within 72 hours of their acceptance in to the BOB. Failure to submit entry fee will result in forfeiture of their spot, and another contest will be placed in their spot. Payment can be made through Paypal to the email address email@example.com or contestants can send a check in the mail to:
