Single Premiere – Davis Alan – The Flood

Davis Alan is a relatively new name on our radar.  We really dug his summer release “Never Done this Before” and now he’s back at it again with a new single, “The Flood”, dropping this week.

The tune originally began as another song, but after bringing ito Red Shahan and Brandon Adams, they challenged him to write a better hook. “The next day I had re-written the whole chorus and brought it to Brandon again, and he approved. If Brandon Adams approves something of mine, I don’t do any more to it” Alan laughed.

Produced by Tyler McCollum and Luke Garrigus at Blackroom Studios in Georgetown, Texas, Alan penned the tune while reflecting on how he felt the first summer he lived away from home.  “I was thinking about the first time I lived in my own place and was working full-time.  It’s just about being alone, missing home, missing your family, and above all, missing a lover” Alan told us.

So far the Stephenville, Texas musician is batting 1000 this year, and we’re differently excited to hear what this up-and-comer has on the horizon!

Check out his new single “The Flood” below and grab yourself a copy when it becomes available on iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music this week!
