Single Premiere: Jake Worthington – How Do You Honky Tonk

Jake Worthington hit the ground running last year with the release of his self-titled EP, and successful single, “Just Keep Falling in Love”.  The La Porte, Texas native is headed back to radio waves, and this time it’s with a brand new tune!

“How Do You Honky Tonk” is a toe-tapping, foot-stomper, that provides perfect matrimony for boot soles and sawdust .   With the pedal steel and fiddle licks driving the track, Worthington uses the question as a metaphor for the variety of ways people let loose and have fun; encouraging listeners to  “Do it your way, whether it’s right or wrong”.

Co-written with professional honky-tonker Jody Booth, the song’s upbeat tempo, and fun-natured message will make this prime for dancehalls this summer/fall, and should play out well at radio.

The track is the lead single off of Worthington’s next project (early 2017), so stay tuned to his social media for updates; in the meantime put your boots on, hit the play below, and show the rest of Texas how you honky tonk!

The track will be available on all digital outlets tomorrow!
