Single Spotlight: Clayton Gardner – Don't Miss It

claytonOur spotlight shines on Clayton Gardner this week. “Don’t Miss it” jumped from #94 to #74 on the Texas Regional Radio Report, adding +65 spins! Writing the song with Aaron Eshuis and Brinley Addington, Gardner told us, “We wanted to write a song about slowing down to enjoy life. Life is quick and you only get one — Sometimes we take it for granted. It names some things like calling momma and fishing with Dad…’that kind of good stuff goes by fast’. These things you can’t do forever; plus I got to name drop one of my heroes: Garth Brooks!

This song stood out to Texas Music Pickers due to Gardner’s strong traditional vocals and the rhythmic sing-along chorus. Good luck not joining Gardner as he sings, clayton 3“drink it up, smoke’em if you got’em, … if you got’em, ….if you got’em” We caught an acoustic show a couple of weeks ago at the Tap in College Station, where we heard this song for the first time. Gardner announced that it was shipping to radio soon, and we couldn’t have been in agreement more that this song belongs on the radio! It’s fun, well written, and engages the listener.

We’ve been following Clayton Gardner for a while, and were big fans of his last single “Table for Two”, which made it all the way up to #13! We’re excited that he followed that up with another strong single, and we think it’s headed inside the Top 10 this time! Help us push this one up the charts by requesting it on your local and online radio stations!
