Single Spotlight: Junior Gordon – “I’m Breaking In”

Our spotlight shines on Junior Gordon this week!  “I’m Breaking In” jumped 33 places on the Texas Regional Radio Report, and was named this week’s “Highest Debut”!  Written by Bobby Terry and Chris Ray Cavanaugh, the track was cut at R&R Studios with Jason Rooks in Lake Jackson, Texas and is the 2nd single off of his recently released “Made in the U.S.A” album.

From the first moment the Alvin, Texas native heard the song, he knew people would be able to relate to it.  “We figured audiences would love this song because the story is something we have almost all been through. We all get hurt, go through bad break up’s and put up a wall, but if we carry that wall with us, we may pass up on the greatest love ever found” Gordon told us

We felt the same way here at TMP after our first listen.  The sentiment is certainly easy to resonate with and Gordon’s strong, traditional vocals drive the message home.  The fullness of the instrumentation and rhythmic tempo, give the track a sound built for radio!  This is one of Gordon’s best releases yet!

His last single, “Mexicoma” made it up to a career-high #24 on the Texas Charts, but we think this one is going Top 20 and we want you to help us get it there by requesting it on your online and local radio stations!
