Venue Spotlight: The Silver Saloon

Our Venue Spotlight shines on the Silver Saloon in Terrell, Texas this week!

Originally called Lee Silver Fox, the saloon was built with the intention of being a country music dance hall, with the capabilities of being rented as a venue or ballroom. Superstars like George Strait, Toby Keith, John Anderson, Merle Hagger, etc.. played during the Lee Silver Fox era, and the venue eventually turned into a place used for weddings, a market, and quinceañeras.  The building was then turned in to a hispanic dance club until 2001…and that’s when the late Carlos Canales and Alex García`s family found the place and Silver Saloon’s story begins.

Turning the venue in to a first-class honky-tonk with state of the art lighting and sound, owner Alex Garcia’s says “the high-quality audio and visual offerings are only a complement of the real value of the Saloon:

the warmth of its services. Safety and hospitality are our first priorities.  We believe the lighting, sound, music, drinks, and food of the Saloon, provide our customers with a great atmosphere!”

While the Saloon strives to maintain a “young soul”, they give the credit of their success to their loyal patrons!

Here at TMP, we love the Silver Saloon’s consistent lineup of great shows!  In the next month alone, you can find acts like Parker McCollum, Read Southall, Muscadine Bloodline, Sunny Sweeney, the legendary Ronnie Milsap and many more on their stage!  What we REALLY dig about this place, is their great mixture of established artists and up-and-comers headlining the venue. Not only can find acts like Aaron Watson, Randy Rogers, and Josh Abbott on the marquee, you’ll also find aspiring artists on the rise like Chris Colston, Copper Chief, and Brett Hendrix at the top of the bill!

We encourage you to check out their upcoming calendar of events, stop in for a bite to eat and catch a show, if you haven’t already!

Thanks Silver Saloon for supporting live music in Texas!
