[Video Premiere] Triston Marez – “Take Me Home”

We are thrilled to premiere Triston Marez’s official music video for “Take Me Home”!

For those who have yet to view Marez’s acoustic clips on social media or catch him live, the video is a perfect introduction to the talented up-and-coming singer-songwriter based out of Houston, TX. “Take Me Home”, released last year as his debut single is a prayerful reflection that was fittingly featured on TMP’s 84 Sad, Slow, and/or Heart-Tugging Songs from 2017. It’s “…a song about someone who has left their home and who just wishes they can go back. Praying “Lord please just take me home”, knowing sometimes that’s all they can do,” Marez shared with TMP.

Marez further revealed the inspiration behind the song’s lyrics and direction for video stating, “This song I feel can relate to many people’s situations in life such as homelessness, moving away due to a career or passion. Or even the great men and women who serve our country’s military. Leaving family and friends graciously to serve our country is one we can never thank them enough for. Coming from a military family I knew I had to get a visual to help describe even more emotion of how one might feel leaving home.”

The video was directed and produced by Nicholas Domaguing and stars Marez wandering out in a beautifully rustic countryside. “I hope this video helps an audience feel the words I wrote even deeper,” Marez expressed. With incredible shots of nature, livestock, and a gorgeous sunset, the images profoundly resonate along with his country-rooted lyrics making this video a must-see.
